Hi all, Newspaper report with photo of what looks like a spherical pressure tank found in Walgett, New South Wales, Australia, last Sunday: http://www.abc.net.au/news/2014-07-16/space-junk-for-sale-on-internet/5601664 Although the finder links it to the July 10 decay (#40077/2014-037J), it was found too far from the reentry track to likely be the case (320 km lateral distance to the track). Unless of course it floated to the find location through the river that runs between the reentry track and the findspot (object was found under a bridge). That seems somewhat unlikely however (also since the find location appears to be upstream rather than downstream). - Marco ----- Dr Marco Langbroek - SatTrackCam Leiden, the Netherlands. e-mail: sattrackcam_at_langbroek.org Cospar 4353 (Leiden): 52.15412 N, 4.49081 E (WGS84), +0 m ASL Cospar 4354 (De Wilck): 52.11685 N, 4.56016 E (WGS84), -2 m ASL Cospar 4355 (Cronesteyn): 52.13878 N, 4.49937 E (WGS84), -2 m ASL Station (b)log: http://sattrackcam.blogspot.com Twitter: @Marco_Langbroek PGP key: http://tinyurl.com/kur7xm8 ----- _______________________________________________ Seesat-l mailing list http://mailman.satobs.org/mailman/listinfo/seesat-lReceived on Thu Jul 17 2014 - 09:27:20 UTC
