http://www.space.com/missionlaunches/proton_launch_040805.html says that Amazonas was launched on a Proton rocket, and that it had a Breeze upper stage. Calsky describes 2004-031C as the BrsTank, presumably an abbreviation for Breeze Tank (2004-031B being the Breeze rocket body.) http://spaceflightnow.com/proton/amazonas/status.html mentions this APT as being jettisoned after the third burn. As it happens Kevin kindly drew my attention to a pass of the APT about a week ago but conditions were atrocious and have only just improved in the last few days though with some erratic cloud cover and bouts of good clear skies. The sky will be too bright for the next pass to be useful and passes for the following nights are not bright enough to be within my capabilities to observe.
