    At 20.07 UT 06/07/07 I observed a flare lasting approximately 20 seconds
at about zero magnitude moving north toward Mars from my observing site
at Newcastle, Australia. As nothing was scheduled by HeavensAbove I
later consulted CalSky. The flares location and direction corresponded
with the track charted for COSMO-SKYMED 1 (launched 8/6/7). Has this
behaviour been observed before for this satellite. Flare brightness is
very uncertain due to proximity of half-moon.
