Hi all, Having taken on board all the comments here and suggestions by CPV , I have come up with the following...pure speculation of course. http://mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/satcom_transits/lacrosse5.gif I'm assuming that the reflections are from the body of the spacecraft and the solar panels , not the dish ( or possibly dishes) I still subscribe to the dish antenna school of thought thought. If the dish is of a non reflective material , then it could be masking the rest of the bird at times , causing the sudden fading. Either way , I think the panels (possibly a double arrangement ) could be 40-50 metres span. Nearest approach was about 740km John ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subscribe/Unsubscribe info, Frequently Asked Questions, SeeSat-L archive: http://www.satobs.org/seesat/seesatindex.html
