    Marco,
That's great news! In fact even better news is that I have just re-run the
prediction with latest TLE's (the one's I used were quite old) and now I get

Flare Results for Observer Lat=52.154 Long=4.491
    Satellite NORAD 25017
Flare Results for Flight Mode YVV Panel Angle 33°
    1. SAR MA 1.56678066044155 at 14/07/2006 00:22:26 Alt=69.6252927561115

So the timings now agree exactly. I guess we can say Lacrosse 3 flies in YVV
mode and has a panel rotated at 33 degrees to the satellite y-axis. I'll
have to run the VRML simulation and send you some screen shots. Flare
prediction is now fully incorporated in the simulator.

I had a chance to observe a flare last night too but my computer had a
complete fit with only 10 minutes to go. 2 programs crashed, it wouldn't
shut down and camera drivers were lost.

    cheers
    Phil
