tonight at 23 JUL 03:04:50 UTC I was watching a pass of chicago IL USA of
Lacrosse 3. I caught an object flaring brightly which my only resource, HA,
doesn't have listed. the object crossed an imaginary line between
kornephoros (beta herc) and gamma herc at 03:04:50 UTC plus or minus 5
seconds. it was heading toward mizar in ursa major. it passed about midway
between those two stars in herc., brightened to nearly 2 magnitude, I
estimated, then faded completely from view within 12 seconds. I'm curious
as to what its ID might be.
    clear skies!
