According to Posledniye kosmicheskye novosti (Recent Space News, in
Russian language) by Alexander Zheleznyakov launch of Volna launcher
from submarine K-44 "Ryazan'" in Barents Sea on July 12th, 00:58 UTC
went well, IRDT-2 was put on ballistic trajectory ending in the target
area on Kamchatka Peninsula but IRDT-2 itself was not found there. Last
word (as yet) was issued on the fourth day of the search operations with
    negative results.
