Saw thru clouds a -8 mag flare, no stars visible, 7/12/02 02.22.31 UTC.
Amazing how bright they become to show thru a thick cloud cover. Prior night
so clear that I saw sats (Aurora 2r / #21393, Noss 1 J / 08884, Noss 1 D /
#08836 ) that had been missed before, plus TRMM #25063 , very bright 1 mag,
max el at my lat 35 degree. Had not looked for it before. Some 1x unknowns
that need to be id.
