using 10x70 bino, heavy enough to need a mount, tripod, fluid pan head ... my 8-year-old-hardly-portable-parallelogram-mount failed recently, and I replaced it with an orion paragon tripod with "fluid pan head." but I'm finding this pan head has design flaws and I am sending it back, so... I would appreciate any feedback from users using bino mounts, what brand, what model, and where to get it. I saw 2 at recent star party, but it was very dark, and very crowded with little time to talk. they were either identical or very similar and I think one was a bogen, but did not get a model no. local photographic stores do not carry this stuff. so far looking on the web has been problematic as I'm not finding photos of the bogen mounts. I will continue to search, meanwhile, if you have a mount you use and like, please send me the specs. thanks! ******************************************* Paul Gabriel 26.24310N 098.21635W 34.8m the stars at night are big & bright...... gabriel305@earthlink.net titanp150 / win95C / calypso ----------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe from SeeSat-L by sending a message with 'unsubscribe' in the SUBJECT to SeeSat-L-request@lists.satellite.eu.org http://www2.satellite.eu.org/seesat/seesatindex.html
