Hi All USA 103. Flaring stopped after the 12th, it reached +1 on the 13th and +5 tonight. Flares to -2->-3 occurred on five nights in total. As I understand from Tony Beresford, this is the same pattern of behaviour that led to USA 103s discovery by Rob McNaught. Would anyone like to comment on whether these "Trumpet flares" might be predicted? I've recorded the flare position and magnitude over eight nights. 23097 94 026A 9127 E 20010712094824000 27 35 1601631-199053 56 S+060 05 23097 94 026A 9127 E 20010713093417280 27 35 1441048+136822 56 S+080 05 23097 94 026A 9127 E 20010715093629300 27 35 1608881-236371 56 S+060 05 23097 94 026A 9127 E 20010716092320560 27 35 1445404+105863 56 S+080 05 Cheers Jim COSPAR site # 9127 Lat 27.591S Long 153.050E Alt 19 m ----------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe from SeeSat-L by sending a message with 'unsubscribe' in the SUBJECT to SeeSat-L-request@lists.satellite.eu.org http://www2.satellite.eu.org/seesat/seesatindex.html
