One of those little serendipities. Last night while looking at Comet C/1999 S4 (LINEAR) with Mike McCants' telescope, a bright meteor streaked through the field of view followed almost immediately by a satellite going in the opposite direction! The best candidate for the satellite seems to be LCS 4 (05398, 71-067E). If memory serves, the telescope set-up yields an approximately one-degree FOV. Location: 30.314N, 97.866W, 280m.
