Whilst waiting for Iridium 68 to flare last night (which it did, as predicted), I saw what looked like a "standard" meteor re-entry - i.e. lasting about a second. However, it was a lot brighter than ones I've seen previously - probably even going into negative magnitudes. It probably was a meteor, but on the offchance... Does a decay differ much from a meteor?
