Thanks Don, Geoff, & Bjoern for your replies!

I forgot to mention that I am doing an all-sat search under Win2000, and
that I had added "device=%SystemRoot%\system32\ansi.sys" to
c:\winnt\system32\config.nt.

I tried copying "sort.exe" to my Skymap folder, but sadly the screen
still messes up after an all-sat search.

I can use the Pause button (but not Alt+Enter) to freeze the screen, and
ctrl-C to resume.

Ah well.
