Thankfully, few posts on this list include solely routine pass reports of non-operational objects. For evenings where there are some minor or unexpected events I (and others on the list) post "Obs [Date]" in the Subject line. This should inform potential readers that the body of the e-mail contains something of greater interest than "I saw Mir" but of less interest than "The object reached -14 mag just before the darn thing crashed into my house." I have always assumes that most observers have their own high interest list and will read general observation posts to keep up to speed on those objects. The posts made with positional observations ("Mir passed through Orion") should at least include an approximate azimuth and elevation. I wonder if it is possible for the SeeSat-L server to automatically delete attached binaries and HTML text. See: http://www2.satellite.eu.org/faq.html for info on UseSat-L - The Non-Observation discussion list. -- Cheers Don Gardner 39.1796 N, 76.8419 W, 34m ASL Homepage: http://hometown.aol.com/mir16609/ Toll Free Voicemail: 888-EXCITE2 Box: 2104571713
