Just after 3:00 UTC today (26 July; Sunday night local time)
my parents and sister in San Antonio and I in Austin were
able to see a surprisingly good STS-93 pass (about as bright
as Mars from my vantage point) given the low altitude, so-so
phase angle, and early shadow entry. My preliminary
prediction for tonight is similar, so it may be worth a try
for anyone in central and south Texas at least. Latest
possible elements are necessary, of course!
