Dear Colleagues,

we are working on a research project which evaluates the viewing behaviour
of different astronomical groups. It would help us a great deal if you
would answer
the questions below - but please don't reply to the listserver, send your
message to Roswitha.Drosg@arcs.ac.at

Thank you very much.

1) equipment used (possibly more than one?)
- Type: (binocular, telescope with computer control,..)
- Diameter of objective and magnification (e.g. 7x50)
- Field of fiew (please specify if in yards or meters)

2) typical viewing time of day (e.g.in the middle of the night, before
sunrise, etc)

3) typical relative viewing duration (e.g. 5 hours per week) (only with eye,
not with camera!)

4) typical proportion of time spent viewing above or below 45 elevation
above horizon
(e.g. 80% of time below 45, 20% of time above 45)

5) What is the limiting magnitude (are your skies light-polluted -
not at all, slightly, very much)

6) location of observation site: country, latitude

7) location of observation site: in city, outscirts of city, or countryside

Thank you very much.
Please don't forget to email us back to
roswitha.drosg@arcs.ac.at , and not to the listserver!!!
