Gorizont 23 - No show again

Hi Everyone,
I again tried observing Gorizont 23 (21533/91-046A) last
night between 20:30UT & 20:55UT (14/7/99). Despite using a magnification to
improve the limiting magnitude in my telescope to mag+11 I failed to see
any flashes from the satellite. It would be interesting to know if any
other observers at different locations / latitudes suceed in observing
Gorizont 23 flashes. Evidently the flash path across the earth varies
throughout the year. I remember last year that the flashes were bright
during the spring, but fainter during the summer.

I would be very interested to hear from any other observers who
have observed Gorizont 23 regularly over several months of any variations
in brightness at different times of the year. Perhaps this information
could be used to determine the orientation & precession of the spin axis of
this satellite?

Best wishes & clear skies,

Jason
