For any spinning/tumbling satellite you should note/report the star field
or RA/Dec where flashes occur.
The law of conservation of angular momentum, and the slowly changing Sun
position will cause flashes to be visible in the same stellar area for
weeks, and all over the world, if the satellite happens to pass the same
field.
There will also be flashes in other directions, and they will roughly
form one or more circles on the star chart.
In Iridium cases, it will be almost in the same position every third day.
