Attempted observation of the newly launched TUBSAT group (on a high overhead
pass about 1.5 hours ago) which so far consists of 4 objects and the rocket
body. Observed 25390 (labeled Tubsat N1 on OIG) on 9 July 1998 at 0945UT;
steady magnitude 9, range 581km. Failed to see pieces 25393 and 25392
(labeled debris). Observed 25389 (labeled Tubsat N) steady at magnitude 8.5,
range 571km. From this I would hazard a guess that the unseen pieces 25393
and 25392 are probably Tubsat N1 and N, while the 25390 and 25389 are likely
the SSN23 debris.
