Molniya 3-49 r1 sighting
Wed, 8 Jul 1998 00:11:44 -0600 (MDT)

After reading an earlier post about Molniya 3-49 r1 #25380, i looked for it
last night but no luck. I looked again this evening, it was predicted to
come by at 05:41:34 8 Jul UTC but it arrived early, at 05:39:21 UTC, at that
time it was due north of my location. At 05:39:52 UTC it passed just to the
left of Cassiopeia Alpha, less than a half of a degree. It was moving along
at a steady clip, flashing away and being quite visible until it was past
Cassiopeia. I don't remember who it was that posted the earlier report of it
but thanks for the heads up.
