Because Brian wrote about "how to begin seeing satellites", I decided to
write, too:
Last evening my husband and I saw our first "predicted" satellite...what
fun! (I take back all the bad things I said about upstate New York
weather). Using http://www.gsoc.dlr.de/satvis I learned about Lacrosse2 and
its predicted transit at 22:54:47 July 2. There we were, scanning the
heavens and WE SAW IT!!!!!! Oh, first we saw a satellite (?) travel from
NW->SE just seconds before Lacrosse2 but I wasn't expecting that one so
don't know what it was. Can anyone tell me?
I'm looking forward to exploring the other urls recommended by Jake (thank
you, Jake!!) and I hope you more experienced viewers will forgive my
excitement-----watch out Iridium flares, here we come!!!!!!!!!!
