On june 22 1995, I was in PUIMICHEL and preparing my recordings for the next rendezvous. After having recorded a passage of MIR, I recorded a pass of 22803. When playing the cassette the FLASHES (of several seconds) are easily chronometrables. Gerhart KLAUS made 4 photographs with his SCHMIDT 20/22/30 cm and one with his Pentax 6x7 cm 2.4/105 mm. He tracked on the stars. He cutted the track of MIR by means of obturations of 1 sec every sec (with his "swiss precision"! Gerhart is a well known Swiss astrophotographer). I just received the wonderfull 23x30 cm photographs he sent me. But now he ask me for another problem: On april 10 1991, he had made 2 photographs at about 10 min. of interval. On each one, one can see a line made by "a moving object". What could it be? Here are the coordinates of that object: UT RA 1950 DEC 1950 A 2005 09h21.8m +24d18m B 2010 09h24.5m +24d23m C 2014 09h26.7m +24d27m D 2019 09h29.4m +24d31m One can deduct that the speed (on the stars) is 6.8 deg./hour Coul it be a satellite at 65,180 Km height ? If necessary, I can ask him for the coordinates of his obs.place. Alphonse POUPLIER pouplia@interpac.be
