Hi Alain, This is a bit of a mystery. These are the positions I obtained from the images you kindly sent me: 99999 15 859A 9001 G 20151225180739032 27 25 0207471-031551 17 S 99999 15 859A 9001 G 20151225180739994 27 25 0207620-031899 17 S 99999 15 859A 9001 G 20151225180744994 27 25 0208588-034096 17 S 99999 15 859A 9001 G 20151225180802976 27 25 0212139-050101 17 S 99999 15 859A 9001 G 20151225180807976 27 25 0213100-052315 17 S With the 9001 location: 9001 AF 44.5700 6.68 1850 Alain Figer These show that the orbit derived by Alain Grycan is a good fit to the data. Unfortunately, no known object seems to match these. Besides the classfd, inttles and public catalogs I also compared these points against objects in the ISON catalog, and none seems to fit. My best guess is some untracked object that, due to favorable geometry, was exceptionally bright.
