    NOTES:
    -------------
    (1) Continuation of video tests. Used VIRTUALDUB to record the
video in addition to the DVD recorder. VIRTUALDUB quality
looks the same as that obtained in UFO CAPTURE or using the
software that came with the satellite TV card - COMPRO 320S,
none of which are as good as the quality produced by the DVD
        recorder operating in FINE mode.
    (2) I suspect that the quality Im getting is about as "good as it
gets" but there is still a source of degradation of the video
quality - the approx 60 foot of co-ax cable from the video
camera to the recorder. I dont think Im motivated enough to
try and solve that ( ie too lazy!).
    (3) It is quite difficult to get an accurate period for the
variability of the North Korean satellite KMS 3-2 as the
maxima do not appear as sharply defined as previously.I
suspect the spin rate is decreasing . Im now inclined to
forget this satellite and write it off as a complete failure-
        apart from achieving orbit.
    (4) USA 129 produced two flares - Im used to seeing one but this
is the first time Ive seen two but then I dont usually pay
        much attention to this.
    (5) USA 186 starting to emerge out of shadow so will do a plane
search in a few days time to relocate after being "lost" for
        about 54 days or so.
    (6) Probably going to abandon video and go back to CCD imaging -
vastly superior images and magnitude penetration!

    Cheers
    Greg
