    They forgot the S-II stage which put Skylab in orbit and S-IVBs
    from assorted Apollo launches, as well as various Proton launches
    (Proton 4 was 37,500 pounds).  OV4-3 weighed about 21,000
    pounds (it was a modified Titan second stage, used to launch
    the unmanned Gemini-B/MOL capsule; the stage stayed in orbit
    about a week.  So there's a long history of big and heavy
    objects making uncontrolled reentries. 
    I don't see where "scariest satellite" Cosmos 954 belongs on
    the list.
