Cosatrak 1 (Computerised satellite Tracking System).
Camera mount now carries two systems that can be operated
together as two totally different sytems and computers used.
Generally the CCD camera will be used for high altitude
slow moving objects, whilst video will be used for LEO sats.
FLI ML8300M CCD camera with mechanical shutter + Trimble GPS
Used with SKYWATCHER 102mm f/5 - focal length 502.3mm, field of
view 122.7 x 92.6 arc minutes, image scale 8.86 arc sec/pixel.
Images processed and automatically reduced using APEX.

NOTES:

(1) Much cloud dodging.
(2) The object drifting and thought to be the missing PAN is PAKSAT 1
which has been moved to the graveyard and is now drifting westward.
For the moment PAN remains missing.
(3) I will report the STRAYS seen tomorrow - have been measured but still
to identify all - gets quite complicated - one field taken had 13
high altitude satellites. Even had two GLONASS satellites passing
through the field of view at the same time.
(4) A few satellites measured manually as too much cloud for APEX to
handle.
(5) Experimented further with the CCD camera taking continuous sequences.
Did OTV 2-1 at very low elevation between gaps in buildings and taking
exposures of 0.5 second duration with a gap of 0.5 seconds between
exposures. Some frames were deleted because of cloud.
Appears to have worked well.
