Hi all, I captured another nice Iridium flare this evening from Cospar 4353. Iridium 76 (98-048B) flared to a predicted brightness of -4.8 at 18:16:42 UTC. The flare occurred at virtually the same location in the sky as yesterday's -7.5 Iridium 03 flare. This time however, a field of clouds made for a dramatic touch to the scene, so though it was less bright, I like the picture more than yesterday's. The picture can be seen here: http://sattrackcam.blogspot.com/2007/01/another-iridium-flare-lacrosse-4-and.html A scenic picture of Lacrosse 4 (00-047A) crossing near the Pleiades again was obtained too this evening (see same URL). Lacrosse 5 (05-016A) did its "disappearance trick" again before I could take my first image of it, this time it disappeared at 18:18:18 UTC (if you are nutty enough to believe in numerology (which I don't) that surely is a Devilish time to do trics for a clandestine sat....; 6+6+6:6+6+6:6+6+6 !). - Marco ;-) ----- Dr Marco Langbroek - SatTrackCam Leiden, Cospar 4353 Leiden, the Netherlands. 52.15412 N, 4.49081 E (WGS84), +0 m ASL SatTrackCam: http://home.wanadoo.nl/marco.langbroek/satcam.html Station (b)log: http://sattrackcam.blogspot.com Atom RSS: http://sattrackcam.blogspot.com/atom.xml e-mail: sattrackcam@wanadoo.nl ----- ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subscribe/Unsubscribe info, Frequently Asked Questions, SeeSat-L archive: http://www.satobs.org/seesat/seesatindex.html
