    Observations 19 Jan 2007:

    Cosatrak 1 (Computerised satellite Tracking System).
    MINTRON low light level CCD surveillance camera (0.005 lux typical
    in non integration mode) and 0.00005 lux in STARLIGHT mode with 128
    frame integration.
    
    Used with 145mm focal length f/2.5 lens,integrating for 96 frames
    which is equivalent to a max exposure of 1.92 seconds per image.
    
    Site 0433 : Longitude 18.51294 deg East, Latitude  33.94058 deg S,
    Elevation 10 metres - situated in Pinelands (Cape Town), South Africa

    Notes:
    -------------
    (1) Whilst #90025 relatively easy had problems finding suitable ref.
        stars as sky still too bright. Probably last observation for this
        observing season. #90020 already lost in twilight.
    
    (2) #90065 more or less on time, flashing very irregular but relatively
        easy at high elevations.
    
    (3) #90061 has long variability cycle, going from mag +9 to invisible.
    
    (4) #90002 - not an easy geostationary. May have regular flashing with
        perhaps several flashes a minute but flashes are not of the same
        magnitude and there are periods when there are no flashes visible-
        at least to the limit of the current observing system. When first
        seen the flashes were quite easy ( phase angle about 47 degrees)
        but by the time the phase angle reached 45 degrees I could no longer
        see it.
    
    (5) #90008 seen steady and bright.
    
    (6) USA 186 #28888 not seen so will have to do a plane search for it
        next chance - maybe its dodging Chinese (irresponsible!) debrii.
    
    (7) #90042 geostationary not seen - has it perhaps moved as quite a
        few of the #900** objects have done major moves recently and some
        are still busy moving.
    
    (8) Also saw Comet McNaught low in the western sky shortly after sunset.
        Unfortunately now past its best but still a lot brighter than
        predictions - could see a nice narrow tail about 4-5 degrees long.
        Weather in Cape Town has not favoured comet ( or satellite )
        observing! the past few weeks. Tonight looks like cirrus again.
