Observed Lacrosse 5 (05-016A) and saw it briefly flare from mag. +2 to mag. +0.5 during about 2-3 seconds at 18:08:27 +/- 5 s UTC. Alas I have no positions to report. When trying to write the first image to the CF card, a writing error occurred and the image data got corrupted. It is very windy here. Earlier this evening (from another location) I caught a glimpse of comet C/2006 P1 McNaught, in deep twilight a few degrees above the horizon. Not very spectacular under these conditions but at least I have seen it. - Marco :-/ ----- Dr Marco Langbroek - SatTrackCam Leiden, Cospar 4353 Leiden, the Netherlands. 52.15412 N, 4.49081 E (WGS84), +0 m ASL SatTrackCam: http://home.wanadoo.nl/marco.langbroek/satcam.html Station (b)log: http://sattrackcam.blogspot.com Atom RSS: http://sattrackcam.blogspot.com/atom.xml e-mail: sattrackcam@wanadoo.nl ----- ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subscribe/Unsubscribe info, Frequently Asked Questions, SeeSat-L archive: http://www.satobs.org/seesat/seesatindex.html
