Just a reminder that Stardust will re-enter on 2006 Jan 15, at about 09:56 UTC, visible from several western U.S. states. I have made an Excel spreadsheet that computes Stardust re-entry azimuth, elevation, R.A. and Dec in tabular form, found in the following zip archive file: http://satobs.org/seesat_ref/stardust/Stardust_look_angles.zip It is simple to use: download the spreadsheet, and enter your latitude, longitude and height above sea-level in the cells with the red coloured font. The spreadsheet employs the trajectory data provided via URLs connected to the following web page, which provides observing tips: http://reentry.arc.nasa.gov/viewingforum.html Skymap users will prefer to run graphical predictions using the following trajectory data: http://reentry.arc.nasa.gov/StardustSkymap.txt The above site has Skymap plots for several locations near the re-entry path.
