As part of my analysis of Lacrosse standard magnitudes, I have identified many
probable flares, which I have compiled here:

    http://satobs.org/seesat_ref/Lacrosse_flares/Lacrosse_flares.txt

My method was to plot a scatter diagram of magnitude normalized to 1000 km, vs.
phase angle, and to fit a regression line to the data. The vast majority of
points were scattered roughly symmetrically about the regression line, over a
range of about +/- 1.5 mag. Points that were brighter than that range, are the
ones that I judged to be probable flares.

I used positional observations by Russell Eberst, Greg Roberts and Peter
    Wakelin.
