Does anyone have an idea about the nature of the rather extensive list of debris associated with the COBE spacecraft (Cosmic Background Explorer)? Perhaps mylar flakes from the receiver antenna covering (assuming I've interpreted the nature of the conical structure on top correctly)? This debris is apparently not from an upper stage on-orbit break-up. The first two pieces (1989-089D and E) are identified on Jonathan's website as a sensor cover and a dewar cap. It's F through CH that are the problem. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subscribe/Unsubscribe info, Frequently Asked Questions, SeeSat-L archive: http://www.satobs.org/seesat/seesatindex.html
