Dear members of this very useful list, I like to expand my observation facilities as satellite observer. Until now I have been observing, using 7 x 50 (and since last October) 10 x 60 binoculars. One of my candidate telescopes is the LXD 55 8" Schmidt Newton especially for its Autostar "go to" and follow system. It has been reported that this system is prepared to be loaded with TLE's and could follow satellites. Are there members with an LXD 55 SN telescope and what are there experiences? Are there members who applied their telescope for satellite following? I already subscribed on the specific LXD 55 Yahoo group and have been deluged by emails. I need at least a month to scan all those emails. May be I get a more direct impression about the quality of my telescope choice by directing my question to satellite observers.
