This morning I was able to get my first opportunity to observe STARSHINE 3 (26929) directly with 25x150mm binoculars. It was +8.2 magnitude and basically steady during the 40 seconds or so that I could track it. Observation was made on Jan 8, at 1154UT elevation 43, azimuth 337, range 650 km. There were no flashes.
