    Yes it can be seen, but it moves across the disk very fast...I've seen the
    space shuttle go across the disk of the sun on 2 consecuative orbits a few
    years ago.
    
    It moves VERY fast and one cant see shape, just a black dot going across
    the disk in about 0.5 seconds...
