         They must be more than 100s of metres apart - when I saw NOSS 2-1 
         overhead they where (just) naked eye and I judged by their height 
         (around 800km) that the separation of the nearest 2 objects must have 
         been at least 40km.  Also the brighter of the 3 did a 'mini-flare', 
         brightening slightly (so it was easily naked eye) as it descended 
         South.
