Hi All, With Iridium 84 possibly "on station", the race is on for the first observation of a flare. Unfortunately, IR84 is only producing daytime flares for the northern hemisphere at the present time. Since I know we have some list members in Ohio, I thought I'd mention that a daytime flare path runs through the state on Sunday afternoon, from Portland, OH north-northwest to Lorain, OH (west of Cleveland). Some cities that are close to the centerline are: Long Bottom, Bartlett, Chesterhill, Pennsville, Philo, Duncan Falls, Malta, Zanesville, Dresden, Spencer, Warsaw, Shreve, Big Prairie, West Salem and Elyria. Time is around 7:50 - 7:51UT, 21 January, depending on your location.
