This is nice flasher for a small telescope. I estimate the flashes were mag
7-8 (normally mag 10). I measured one flash period at 3.1 seconds. I made
an accidental observation of it tonight.

On 16-Jan-2001 5:10:00 UT I observed Comstar 4-r make an appulse with Sigma
Ori using a 4 inch refractor. The range was 6000 km and increased to over
8000 km when it went into shadow at about 6.5 minutes later.
