rob's iridium app predicted daylight flare -8.4 mag
    of iridium 81, (25468 98051B?) at 2341:18 UT 12 jan
at my +81/060 with the sun ~ +3.1 elev.
some high clouds noted, so I was skeptical, although
I have seen venus 1x in the daylight.

so I sat back in a comfy chair and stared at the clouds 1x
starting at 2341 and counting, and sure enough, flare noted
    2341:18 +/- :02 and lasted for about 2 to 3 seconds.
