Hi, Just goes to show how unreliable the flares are from the spare Iridiums. Ir 24t and Ir 69? were passing side-by-side, a few degrees apart, with 24t doing its usual flashing and twinkling act then Ir 69? flared to a little better than 1.0, (un-predicted by Iridflar). Nice sight, this occured Jan 15, 1999 00:15:25 and was forgotten in the posted obs report. I'll be updating and enhancing the website, (splicing some pics and giving it a cleaner look), over the next week as the weather forecast looks abominable through Saturday. A reminder that there is a data page at the website. It contains observation reports for 1999 as well as data collected on Iridium tumblers, Abrixas, Starshine and Decaying objects.
