            An article in the New York Times ridiculed Clark University
            Professor Robert H. Goddard for claiming that rockets would
            work in space, where there is no air to push against. Almost
    fifty
            years later, after Apollo XI landed on the moon in 1969, the
            newspaper retracted the criticism and apologized.
