I was prepared to observe Iridium 27 #24947 97051D as it made a high pass overhead at 01:38 14 Jan UTC, expecting to see some negative flashes. However i had what could be described as a visible pass. Ir 27 remained visible enough that i could track it, it did fade on occasion and a few minor flashes were seen but for the most part it remained at a magnitude of 3.8 to 4. I didn't time the length of each visible moment, it seemed like a long time but i'd say only about 2 - 3 seconds. It sure was different from the other times i've seen it. Jari 54.25N 110.11W 556m
