Before clouds moved in, I could do another flash period timing for the
"strobing" Iridium 27 (#24947, 97-51D) at UTC 16:49, confirming my
results of yesterday (3.59 +/- 0.03 sec) and the day before (3.55 +/-
0.05 sec).
p = 3.585 (+/- 0.02) sec, timed on 14 maxima
This was another near-overhead pass, culminating at az 276 deg and alt
87 deg, with two consecutive very bright, sharp mag -2 or -3 flashes in
the Cassiopeia constellation, shortly after culmination point.
Thereafter, flash magnitudes were rapidly falling off towards north,
with mag +4.0 while passing Polaris at an altitude of 54 deg.
