I observed Ir 27 (#24947) here this evening making a pass low in the east using 7x50 binocs. I first glimpsed it north of Altair at 23:14:30 UT alt 22d,azm 280d, flashing at ~3sec intervals and just barely vis between flashes. The flash magnitudes also diminished from a max of aprox. 1.5 to 3.0 during the pass. LOS was when it passed just north of Vega at 18:16:15 UT. Finally , some clear skies here in the Northeast USA !!! -------------------------------------------------------------- Bud Smith email: budsmith@ct1.nai.net Newtown, Connecticut USA lat. 41.2539N lon. 73.2120W 110m ASL ---------------------------------------------------------------
