The OAO 1 failed after two days in orbit due to a battery failure. OAO 1 has
been reported as bright as magnitude -1 during flares, although it is
typically closer to magnitude 5.0. All three OAOs have had flashes into the
negative magnitudes most likley due to their highly reflective telescopic
mirrors.

2144 OAO 1 Rocket Body: The Orbiting Astronomical Observatory 1 was launched
in April, 1966 and this is it's Agena-B rocket/body. It is in the fifth mag
range.
