Iridium 27 Obs.

Just had my first look at Iridium 27 (24947, 97051D) since the
reports of the strobe effect.
The unseasonably warm weather in the NE USA (68F, 20C) created
a haze. With a nearly quarter moon, only bright passes were visible
using 10x50 binoculars.
Iridium 27 seemed to have a period of about 3 secs. The flashes that
I observed seemed to vary in brightnesess. One was bright enough
to make me blink.
I wonder if Iridium LLC is planning to deorbit it?
Cheers.
