Today, 14 January 1997, Atlantis was sighted again by Pierre Neirinck from
Malo-les-Bains and by myself from near Paris.

Pierre obtained the following fix:
06:37:36.95 UTC 10:54.3 24.6 +/- 0.1 deg (1950 equinox)

His magnitude estimates are -1.5 in the west and 0 near the zenith.

Yesterday he made a fix at:
06:38:55.80 UTC 17:44.4 27.65 +/- 0.04 deg (1950 equinox)

He took photos on both days.

I observed Atlantis today 18 minutes after Mir and could time it near Polaris
at 06:38:39.00 UTC. It was running 31 seconds late with respect to predictions
made with elsets of epoch 97013.54291088.

My estimate of the maximum brightness is that it was brighter than Venus last
summer, and that was -4.5.
