The Telstar 401 domestic geostationary satellite (97 degrees West) failed
this morning (January 11th) for an unknown reason. All transponders and
telemetry were lost.

No word on what happened, according to one engineer "It could have exploded
for all we know".

Here's the latest TLEs I have for anybody who would like to search tonight.
