I have two more flare observations. These are occurring around due east or due west at this time of year. 1. 7 February 2022. 11:54UT. Morning pass pre-sunrise Northbound pass. Maximum elevation of pass 48 degrees around azimuth 73 degrees. Flare interval 11:54:21 UT – 11:55:01 UT. Max magnitude ~3. Sun elevation -24.5 degrees. Maximum flare ~ 11:54:41 UT. Az/El: 86/47. RA/Dec: 17:32.7/+29:38.5 Magnitude 3 or much less than the first flare observed. 2. 8 February 2022. 01:20 UT Southbound pass. Maximum elevation of pass 70 degrees around azimuth 285 degrees. Flare interval ~1:19:57 UT – 1:20:56 UT. Max magnitude ~0. Sun elevation -11 degrees. Note: I first observed this flare when it was at/near maximum brightness at 01:20:07 UT. I elected to assign the start at 01:19:57 UT but even that may be late. In both cases I was observing without optical aid and the satellite was not observable when not flaring. _______________________________________________ Seesat-l mailing list http://mailman.satobs.org/mailman/listinfo/seesat-lReceived on Mon Feb 07 2022 - 21:12:46 UTC
