DARKSAT (44932) has now reached its operational orbit. This would be a great time to report visual magnitudes for it and other Starlink satellites. As before, what I'm looking for is mainly catalog number, visual magnitude, obsever location and time, plus ideally the rest of the usual SeeSat reporting data so we can estimate how illuminated it should have been. I'm also interested in negative reports from experienced observers (satellite #such-and-such not seen at given time). And especially interested in any cases where they are seen when *not* predicted to be in sunlight (there have been anecdotal cases but I'm not sure I believe them) Last summer's campaign was very successful - thanks to all the observers esp. the prolific Jay Respler. Can we do it again? - Jonathan McDowell, Center for Astrophysics _______________________________________________ Seesat-l mailing list http://mailman.satobs.org/mailman/listinfo/seesat-lReceived on Mon Feb 24 2020 - 16:03:48 UTC
